Mobilizing Philanthropic Resources for Climate Action
The Funders for Climate Coalition (FCC) is a dynamic network of Swiss philanthropic organizations and funders that share a common goal: to accelerate the transition to a sustainable, low-carbon future. Through strategic collaboration and joint funding, FCC aims to drive systemic change, create a supportive ecosystem for climate action, and increase awareness about the urgent need for climate solutions.

Our Goals
Achieve significant sector commitment
of different stakeholders (e.g philanthropic sector, individual philanthropists etc.) to climate
Support the establishment of a conducive ecosystem
for successful climate action in Switzerland (e.g., advocacy and policy work, information, knowledge, and research)
Increase philanthropic and other funding
for high-impact climate solutions
Our Current Initiatives
FCC members have engaged in strategic initiatives to reach these objectives:
- Engagement with the Swiss funding ecosystem in view of a philanthropic sector commitment for climate
- Collaborative support of a communication campaign for the Swiss climate protection law (June 2023)
- Collaborative support of climate journalism
- Collaborative support of a study on climate harmful subsidies
- Mobilization of additional funding for climate and biodiversity
